MOONBATS FUELING GUN SALE SURGE

No ignorance. I'm aware. I'm not helping anyone on the left further their radical agenda. But if I'm willing to suspend their rights I shouldn't be surprised when they suspend mine.
They've BEEN WORKING ON SUSPENDING YOURS FOR DECADES. Did you just crawl out from under a rock?

Sorry. No one has suspended my rights guaranteed in the Constitution. They may write laws which conflict with those rights but it is my choice to follow or not to follow those laws, stay or move to an area with laws closer to my own views then suffer the consequences of those actions for better or worse.

It is not my responsibility to force those views down someone's throat.
Thanks for the back and forth,
I'm done for the night.

I didn't fully read all bickering in this thread, but I have to say that I have surprised to see the double standard and hypocrisy being regularly applied to a whole host of gun/liberty issues.
More people that own guns and familiarize themselves with the process and laws that are actually on the books in their shit-hole-libtard states is a going to be net good thing.
Maybe they are doing it just to protect themselves and they don't give a shit about other people once they have their shotgun and their revolver, but maybe they also get red-pilled and realize that the bunk that the everytown-puppets have been jamming down their throats is total bullshit.
Maybe they discover that licensing is a prohibitive practice and that discriminates based on who you are and where you live.
Maybe they find that their choices of firearms are limited or their state requires that you castrated them for your own safety.
Maybe they think about that scenario, that you might want more than 5,7,8,or 10 bullets in a magazine.
...or maybe not but that's life.

A lot of people here seem to be all Captain Molonamahllabe McFreedom but the moment something doesn't jive with their notions of how things should work they revert to the language of the statist-overlords.

I personally didn't know anything and really care too much about gun control/laws until I finally decided to apply for an LTC and then it was a rude awakening. The entire process transformed my thinking and effected many of my positions to a whole host of other issues. I see this all as being a positive both for 2A and liberty minded individuals.

If you are directing your statement at me, the just man up and say so.....I can take it and I will defend my position to the end of the earth.

How dare you assume my gender! [laugh]
Yes it's directed to you but this has been popping up a lot lately. I don't believe in double standards with rights.
It's equal rights for all or none of this works.

I don’t usually partially quote someone but I had to here, since this part confuses me. These new gun owners that now are being introduced to being armed probably are in fear of the state of affairs in this country hence the reason they want guns, in particular the two guys I know and got going with buying firearms want to defend their families if need be because they are flat out mortified about what’s going on. So you are saying that they will now support anti gun laws and support politicians that want to take them away? I don’t see that. They are all about their right to defend their family, you think they will want that restricted? When these animals want to come to their neighborhood and wreck shit? If anything they will want their gun rights protected going forward, that’s the way I see it. I don’t believe their agenda is to arm up and fight against us until they win then give their guns up.
I've seen it before, remember the Rodney King riots? Lilly white libs shitting their panties standing in line at gun stores, only to be told, "yes, you can buy a gun, but not take it home for 7 days". They were shocked, and were whining how could they protect themselves! Fast forward to today, these SAME shitbags vote in the the very people that denied them the right to take possession of a firearm. I really do hope Antifa/BLM rampages thru suburban California and these a**h***s reap what they have sown.

Sometimes we gotta play catch-up after 10 years. I know the feeling 😉

This conversation disgusts me. Either you’re for freedom or tyranny. If you support the limiting of the constitutional rights of a group of American citizens because they vote different from you, than you support tyranny, and are a hypocrite. You deserve to have your RKBA rights taken away. You’re also part of the real problem in this country these days. You’ve fallen right into the trap of identity politics, and are exactly where they want you...fighting with your neighbors over the scraps on the ground, while they continue to steal the wealth of the middle class. Unless we the people can figure out a way to find common ground again, we as a country are doomed.

And lest you think me a fudd...

I grew up in an anti gun household in FL, bought my first gun on my 18th birthday, and my first handgun on my 21st. I have a safe full of goodies, enough ammo to get me though whatever comes our way, and have had a disaster preparedness stock of food, water, and TP for years. I train multiple times a month, and compete when I can to keep sharp under pressure. My sons both know how to shoot. My (very liberal when I met her) wife has her LTC, and a bedside safe with her own personal handgun. I’ve voted republican or libertarian in every election since my 18th birthday.

My career is as a creative, so I am constantly surrounded by liberals. Guess what...we get along. I’m a nice guy, they’re nice people...we’re all decent humans first. I’ve taken quite a few folks shooting for the very first time. They all enjoyed it.

The current climate that divides us Americans into increasingly vulcanized groups of left or right wing radicals is effectively blinding us to the reality of the corporate takeover of our government. As long as they can make us focused on hating our neighbors, they can continue unchecked.

So I welcome each and every American citizen who has decided to exercise his/her second amendment rights for the first time. Common sense would indicate that the more citizens that feel the need for personal protection, the stronger the support for the second amendment. It’s a net win for gun owners. We should be throwing a party for these people, inviting them to the range, welcoming them into the fold, showing them that we are not the a**holes that CNN has made us out to be. That we all just want safety for our families.

Many of the posts in this thread have me thinking that maybe CNN was right about the gun community.

Wait, let me put my violin down.

Your problem is, you still think that these leftists that are ruining this country are Americans. They are NOT!

Not in their thought.

Not in their words

Not in their or deeds.

They love living here and sucking up all of the protections of our laws and the good graces of gracious people, yet they continuously rail against everything that keeps them free.....they despise other people's conservative cultures and history to the point of physically destroying it, censoring in social media, in books, in advertising, harassing and assaulting people in public and at their homes and work places.
They support politicians who are sympathetic to their mindless destructive causes, THEN DEMAND that those politicians use the force of government to enforce THEIR ways.

I get where you are coming from. I really do. The riots and occupations are Marxist and unamerican to the core.

But that’s not who I’m defending. Left leaning Bill who lives in Natick and has always voted Democrat because CNN told him to, and it seemed like the nice thing to do. Who you would hang out with at the neighborhood bbq while your kids played together, and talk about how bad the Red Sox suck. Who was anti gun because CNN told him “Assult gunz r BAD”, and because they kept showing him pictures of dead schoolchildren...who had always felt safe and protected by the warm fuzzies he gets driving up to the homeless guy in his Lexus and giving him a dollar...is suddenly feeling less safe and protected. That is causing him to rethink his stance on the 2nd amendment. Causing him to think that he might need to take personal responsibility for the safety of his family.

This guy is not a Marxist, in fact he wants the gun in case a mob of angry people show up in his neighborhood with molotovs.

This guy has just had his entire world turned upside down like the rest of us, with the sudden onset of a global pandemic followed by massive civil unrest. Only, unlike many of us here, he was caught completely unprepared for even the possibly of this. His world view has been rocked by our current reality.

If he’s my neighbor, I’m gonna reach out to him, take him to the range, teach him how to stand, and grip, and breathe...and to keep his damn finger off the trigger.

And then...if the shit REALLY goes down, I have someone else watching my back.

Identity politics tells us that those to the left are ALL socialists, and those to the right are ALL fascists. That intelligent people believe this is a testament to the power of the propaganda machine that has been built in this country. Most people are a little to the right or a little to the left, and have far more in common than the media would like us to admit.

And I have to think that a-little-to-the-left Bill is gonna be loathe to surrender his newfound sense of self reliance once things stabilize a bit. I actually think this is gonna be our generation’s Great Depression moment. Your grandparents reused their aluminum foil even after it was nowhere near scarce. They understood that if if could happen once, it can happen again.

All politics are " identity politics".....it's the very nature of politics itself at its core, always has been always will be. It is not something that was just ginned up in the past couple of years.

From experience, and why I have no left leaning friends and do not associate with leftists,, "Left leaning Bill" ( I like that term) will leave you high and dry when push comes to shove. You are not going to change a person's lifetime of leftist brainwashing....it just doesn't happen. I completely cleansed my life of people who lean left......every one of them, including family members were not worth the effort or time spent on them. They are "takers" through and through.

Good luck with LLB, if nothing else, require him to shut CNN off and read a couple of books on survival. [thumbsup]

Matter of fact, LeftLeaningBill would be a great screen name on here, why don't you encourage him to join up so we can "debate" a few issues and help him unfvck his head a little bit.

Not all leftists are bad people, just like not all conservatives (rightists?) are good people. It's a shame you can't see that.

Well buy me a beer one day, and I'll see if I can convince you ;)

Only a leftist would ask someone to buy them a beer so they could show them what a nice person they are.

Like I posted above.....take, take, take......it's just what leftists do. [rolleyes]

You know it’s a figure of speech, right?
