[rofl2] You've got to be joking!!!
What shocks me is that some would so willingly continue to feed the mouthes that so continually bite them, arm the hand that will point it towards them and fill out a ballot, voting for a party who will most certainly oppress them.

Those lefties didn't want rights or freedom or law and order until the consequences of their absence came to threatening their world. You don't intentionally arm irrational people who will soon use them against you.
"Every person is entitled to the right to keep and bear arms."

"Liberals should not be armed."

Bud, you're the one who needs to rationalize the gap between those two positions. Not me. Freedom FTW.

You'll reap what you sow. Arm the leftists today and you'll be ducking their bullets tomorrow.

Maybe so. And that's the thing about freedom: it's messy. The Founders knew that, too.

None of this is easy. But when there's a conflict between more freedom and less freedom, the first one ought to win every time. No?

No it's not easy, but what is easy is the choice of whether to arm one's enemy ( and I consider all leftist leaning commies my enemy) or let them wallow in the situation THEY created and will continue to create.

You were correct in one of your previous posts....we truly are looking at different pictures.

As soon as ALL The People realize that the Political Elite have created these cultural divisions and manipulate the People as pawns in the Democracy, the Nation will enjoy a United Rebirth of Freedom.

The People have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, hopefully not to fight each other, but to ensure that Government is kept in Check and the Corrupt influences are brought to Justice.

The Nation needs a movement to Unite the People against the Political Elite, and to resist the Culture War the Elites are waging by conscription of the People.

Norwood mostly.
A 38-year-old man from Dixon — who didn’t want his name used, citing employment reasons — described himself as “a very liberal Democrat” who for decades has been “for most forms of gun control politically.” But since March, he’s been waiting for his first gun permit to arrive so he can keep his family safe, he said.

My views have recently changed, and I have accepted that the Second Amendment provides for the personal ownership and use of a firearm,” he said in an email. “The recent social unrest of a divisive president, the pandemic and dramatic rise in unemployment, and the more recent social unrest because of the way we police in this country have all been reasons that have prompted my recent application.” -Chicago Tribune
Did he threaten POTUS?

I think what we are seeing is that for generations, many Americans have believed unequivocally what they had been taught growing up.
As you said above they have been taught/groomed but in essence can be re-trained as well. Could you teach everyone, no, but you could still show enough given your examples in the quote they have been wrong and wronged.

As long as people can be easily dependent on government or others ( by the force of government) for their "daily bread" they will most likely do so.

The mindset of the rugged individual, relying solely on the fruits of their own labor to survive and prosper in this country is but a distant memory.

There will be two outcomes for sure.

1. Progressives buy more guns and defend themselves and fellow countrymen against tyranny. Enlightened.
2. Progressives buy more guns and become tyranny against countrymen. Darkened.

Either we fight against .gov together or CW
2.0 will commence. We’ll see what happens.

There is also the foreign intervention angle which is and has been less subtle as years go on. Increasingly I see the progressives considering their allies to be anyone outside the US.

Progressive gun owners may be torn with this election.
a.) Vote for your progressive candidate knowing your gun rights would be in jeopardy.
b.) Vote for a conservative to try and protect your gun rights.

Along with that, progressive candidates may see support for Gun laws vanishing from within their own base.

I dunno. I don't think buying one gun for HD automatically turns you into a "gun guy." The libs I know who've asked me about it aren't happy about the purchase. They're not going to make it a lifestyle. They view it as a necessary evil. They're certainly not going to be passionate about guns or gun rights; I get the impression they'll buy a shotgun, keep it unloaded in the closet, and then vote for Beto in 2032 knowing he'll confiscate it, and being happy to get rid of it.

We need to remember that those of us who post here are extremely passionate and committed, even among the gun-owning population. Most others don't think about guns the way we do. Libs right now aren't buying guns to "stave off big government;" they're buying because they see cities on fire. Once that goes away, they'll forget about their guns.

No, they will want to keep their guns while disarming everyone else. Fudds and the shall issue lilly white suburbs vs. the may issue minority majority cities here in MA are perfect examples of this. Or as Picton said just before me, they will vote for blanket confiscation under the delusion that EVERYONE, especially the people they dislike, will be disarmed.

I know a few people waking up to exercise their 2A rights. Right or left is of no consequence to me and they should exercise those rights unrestrained.

However the guys who just took a class with the Socialist Rifle Association will not be getting help from me. There won't be range trips or advice. The older liberals seem to be buying to protect themselves. Younger liberals seem to be arming to help in CW2.

I have no doubt that the left will continue to vote left, in their minds if they do then the "right" people will be in charge and if the 2A is abolished it will be because America is back on the right track even if that track is ferreting out conservatives and loading them on trains.

It's not just Moonbats that are buying guns I'll tell you that one it's pretty much everyone... this stuff going on right now is kind of like Obamascare on steroids. Despite all of the shortfalls the industry is actually handling it a lot better than I thought I just hope that they can ramp up more shit.... I think they have learned a little bit from the last few times although one huge problem right now is the corona shit... it has limited production for example Remington, Dan Wesson, and Kimber are all basically shut down because of NY Corona bullshit.... I think Remington's ammo plant in AR probably is still running though. Thankfully most of the ammo plants aren't in commie States....

Exactly. They will still think "no one needs an AK, no one needs an AR. I have my handgun and I am safe", "I have my shotgun and I am safe".

While I understand the sentiment I'm not willing to trample another's rights. I understand the consequences.

Constitution and BOR cover individual rights doesn't matter if I disagree with how an individual interprets those rights. I believe in the 2A that's my right guaranteed in the Constitution. Someone else may not believe the 2nd Ammendment but that does not allow their beliefs to trump my rights.

BI don't believe many of the views of a lot of the left has, but that doesn't mean that I feel they are not entitled to those views.

So, you refuse to acknowledge the fact that arming leftists will be of consequence to you? Good Luck in the contest.

?"DePaul's Ostrander points out what few are saying; first-time gun owners are eight-times more likely to accidentally shoot themselves vs. those in gun-free homes, because they lack training."

No shit????? How do you shoot yourself in a friggin gun free home???
Actually yeah wouldn't that be like 100% more likely

I understand that arming leftists could be detrimental if a conflict were to occur. Leftists would be fine with disarming the right because then there would be no way to mount an armed resistance.
To me both views are inconsistent with the constitution.

Nothing inconsistent.
I believe in the 2A provided you are not prohibited by law. You should be allowed to own a firearm regardless of your political leanings. However that doesn't mean I'm going to take you shooting and help you practice etc.

Well there's not much anyone can do to prevent it, other than having more people with guns to stop them.... it's easier to focus on that, rather than worrying about something that we can't do anything about. There's a 2nd prong to this in the respect that being prepared covers other (more likely)issues beyond this, like generic civil unrest etc.

You are ignoring the elephant in the room. The conflict is ALREADY IN PROGRESS.
