MOE Handguard + sling = ?

I'm looking for a simple sling mount for the side of the rifle - there's a lot of rail mounted options but I'm using a MOE handguard and looking for something simple, low profile and efficient.

It doesn't have to be HSLD or QD but it needs to work - I don't want to mount the sling under the rifle

What are you guys using?

Just get a MAGPUL MOE picatinny rail section, and than mount the sling device to that.

Check out Impact Weapons Components. They make a very low profile QD button for MOE. Its nice.

This is what I did, followed this thread on everything except using that funny looking drill bit.

I am very happy with it, but I do wish I would have taken a little more care and time while drilling the hole. If you are not using the special drill bit, GO SLOW. Mine has a few chips in the plastic around the hole, but it is mostly hidden by the retaining ring. I notice it if I look at it, but I am sure no one else would.

I'm not using a sling with hooks - I'll go either QD or straight to a loop - but thanks for the suggestion.
