I have and old Mossberg 342k (from the 50's or 60's), is it okay to use modern "high velocity" ammo like CCI Stingers in it? Or should I stick with standard stuff?

Being from the 40's and 50's myself I don't consider a Mossberg from the 60's as old. Shoot whatever you want in it. The gun will still outlive you.

I've lost track of the number of modern .22's I've put through my "old" Mossbergs.

Load, fire, smile; repeat to your heart's content. [smile] The only damage will be to your wallet from buying ammo. [laugh]

I have a old Stevens tube fed I got when I was 12 it still runs better then Any of my new(high tech) 22's. And I shoot new ammo through it.
