I remember the time I brought my first Hendrix album home. My dad looked at it and said "WTF is that?" I laughed my ass off. And you guys think I'm Conservative.......

The good drummers always die. Keith Moon, John Bonham, and now Mitch Mitchell. At least Ginger Baker and Joe Morello still live.

Here's one more for the list:

    Jimmy Carl Black

    2/1/38 - 11/5/08

Drummer and Original Band Member of The Mothers of Invention (1964-1969)
Known as "The Indian of the Group". Zappa fans also know him as "Lonesome Cowboy Burt" from his performance in the movie "200 Motels".
Attached photo is of Jimmy and me at Johnny D's in Somerville 7/01. At the time he was touring as a member of "The Grandmothers" along with other ex-Zappa members Bunk Gardner and Don Preston.

    RIP Jimmy
    You'll be missed [crying]
