I regret that I could not meet TFleader at the Biddeford Gun Show on Saturday - had to work all day. So, I took a ride down on Sunday morning, instead.
Just as he reported, there was very little in the way of nice Milsurps at the show. Most was either bubba'd or overpriced.
But I did come away with a couple of minor successes. The first was a Yugo SKS barreled receiver which was severely shot-out. Bore looked like a black hole, and the gas valve wouldn't even move. But for $15, it did rescue me from one of my most idiotic milsurp mistakes of my early career. I had (stupidly) hacked up a Bosnian Civil War relic back in 2008, because the bore was horrible and it wouldn't cycle. But I saved the stock. Now, with another junk barreled receiver, the trench art has an appropriate platform once again.
Next, I found an original K98 sling for my ar 41 Mauser.
More pics, and enjoy. Thanks for looking.
