Launched Grapnel Hook, or LGH, intended for clearing of mines, trip wires, etc.....with, of course, other creative uses....
THIS is, indeed, the thing you just knew you needed, but didn't yet know just what it was....
Useful, not only as-intended, or to retrieve something at some distance, when it may not be safe to walk in the open, but…perhaps, also, to send a lead-line over, to then deliver a heavier line, as in tree work, etc.
Perhaps, some took your canoe or boat, when you weren't lookin'.... Or, there's a damsel in sure distress, out on that float........
** AND, a devastating short-range-engagement device, fer sure…. Shotgun slug for pound-footage....? pffffft.
