The actual headline:
Man paralyzed by concealed carry holder in 2017 dies from injuries, police say

When you get to the third paragraph, you read:
Ford’s injury stemmed from a Dec. 12, 2017, shooting that began with the then-18-year-old pulling his own gun on a 27-year-old man driving his vehicle into a rear yard in the 9100 block of South Harper Avenue, according to Chicago police.
The older man, a concealed carry holder, pulled his own firearm and shot the victim, police said.

Yeah. "The victim" pulled his gun on a legally armed citizen who shot him. Oops. He chose the wrong target. But now he's another "victim of gun violence".

And this is how the media twists the story...

Man paralyzed by concealed carry holder in 2017 dies from injuries, police say

We are in a very real culture war currently. Media, social media, and the state have been working hard to not just ignore all the positive aspects of legal gun ownership, but to actively twist normal, lawful, and positive firearm ownership and use into a neagative.

They want to eliminate all normal basic thoughts about guns. They want to make anything and everything even tangentially related to guns as negative. They want normalize “all guns are always bad”.

This is why there are constantly examples of schools suspending or expelling students for going to shooting ranges. This is why justified self defense is criminalized and/or demonized. It’s why things as silly as gun emoji’s are being eliminated or changed into squirt guns. It’s why suicides and justified shootings are grouped in with murders and just called “gun violence”.

The goal is to shape the minds of the entire population into willingly give up their rights. And it’s working to a far larger extent than it should be.

The deceased had been quadriplegic from the gunshot wound on the neck, I can only imagine the amount of medical bill paid by tax payers.

Ford was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment and was later charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor aggravated assault. But the case against Ford was dropped by Cook County prosecutors nine days after his first court hearing.

The deceased was charged, but the charge quickly dropped. Was the prosecutor thinking 'he's suffering enough already?'

Amazing how a shooting in Chicago made the news. Just so happened he is a CCW holder. Sure they won't make a big news segment on all the dindus who do this every weekend.
