Maura spanks another dealer for selling Glocks

The promoter is the one that got the cops involved when he was escorted out, which is how it made it's way to Heir Maura. As to the FFL that ratted them out I'm actually a little torn. I've done a lot of business with this FFL and have always thought the owner and his wife were real nice folks. The weird part is that this FFL is in Sutton as well and I'm thinking there must be some bad blood between the two for this to happen. If you haven't figured it out yet the store is Stoney Acres.

Ah that's a shame. I've done business with them as well.

You don't think that Maura's minions could just do a search for who sold glocks and go ask questions? I am not sure she would need a rat.

They don't have unfettered access to the EFA10 system not to mention that system does not record the context of the transfer (whether its LE or otherwise CMR940 exempt, etc). The system also has no way of knowing whether or not the gun is Pre98 or not (although you can guess from the SN, mostly).

Rats make it 10,000x simpler and easier for them to threaten or intimidate someone.

There was a thread last year about this, I think it was in the Marlboro show one. The promoter was the one who ratted them out if I recall correctly.

Edit - here it is https://www.northeastshooters.com/v...24?p=5000026&highlight=martinello#post5000026

Everyone said that about North Shore and "The Rat" (TM) but they're still both in business too.

NES is just a very small portion of gun owners in the state. These FFLs have customers from all over the place that have never heard of this forum. A boycott here will probably have little affect to any FFL.

What if we borrow one of those giant inflatable rats from the union guys and set it up on the sidewalk outside the shops?

I'm sure she has targets set up every few weeks to keep he name in the headlines. Small shops that can't put up a good fight on their own. She's got a good racket going on, hopefully it leads to more lawsuits.

TYRANNY!

Particularly considering that most of this board is enthusiasts, who usually, for better or worse, avoid most LGS unless they happen to offer a particularly good price on any one given item.

If someplace like Stoney Acres has 90% of their business from "Jimmy shoots 2 boxes, then leaves" types, they're not going to see much of a drop.

Not true!

I know from first hand experience that a bad word here can and does effect LGS sales. Please don't ask me to go into it as I have no need to dig that up.

North shore is still in business? With everything that happened with them aside, the guys are first class a holes.

agree. I bought a gun there once and they were straight up douchebags. I almost walked out just over how rude they were but really wanted to get the transaction done. I'll never step foot in there again though.

She will do to Glock sales and ownership what she did with Copycat Assault Weapons. Just wait the writing is on the wall.

Everyone's asking who the rat is and Maura rolls the EFA-10's every week identifying "AW" transactions.

Question though- is the mag release a requirement or an option on a list of "must have more than two of the following" kind of thing.

I believe it's either a magazine disconnect or an LCI. Both are not required, just one. Glocks have an extractor-based LCI, but her highness does not deem it sufficient to meet the requirement.

If glock really wanted to comply, which they don't. ..and can't blame them, they could manufacture barrels, like the SW1911, with a little hole in the top, to see the loaded chamber

From the AG statement on the issue it sounds like they'd have beeen fine with the existing LCI on Glocks had they not put the legal CYA common-sense statement in their manual about not relying on the LCI, treating guns as if they're loaded, opening the breech to confirm, etc. I can't imagine they wouldn't put the same thing in the manual about a peephole in the barrel, then again they can't unring the bell by removing the statement that's there now - the AG is still 9" up Glocks ass and has been since last fall, regardless.

You sold a Glock? Yes.
Did it have a LCI and a mag disconnect? No.
Would your rather face criminal charges or put $10k in my coughers and say you're sorry. I'm sorry. Here's my money.
I hope this happens to someone with the money to say ..**** YOU, and see you in court.

This happened due to an FFL at the Marlboro Gun Show ratting him out to the Gun Show promoters for selling a Glock and was subsequently escorted out of the building. He was investigated as part of that situation. Total BS when you get screwed by one of your own. He gave up his license in MA but he's still an FFL and attending gun shows in other states. I bought my P38 from him at the NH Gun Show for a good price.
I think we'd all like to know which FFL dropped the dime.

Wasting the states resources on the wrong people

Anything to push her agenda

Straight up my thoughts.
Like really? This is the kind of "criminal" we need to be after?
i wanna see more articles on busting down drug dealers and trap houses.
I wanna hear about pimps getting arrested left and right.
I wanna see those *******s who steal cars and "chop" them behind the bars

Didn't he have some Glocks in his case in Marlboro? As a matter of fact, isn't he a part time cop somewhere? I thought I saw him working a parking lot at the Millbury Mall a couple years ago around Christmas.

I have believed for quite sometime, that the "2A" community in Massachusetts will eat it self from the inside out. Even private sellers are selling guns for at least a 1.5x premium (go look at the forums lots and lots of $600-$700 glocks, and lots of 75-100 preban mags). See it's all about the money. Anybody remember when AIM was shut out from shipping ammo? That was rumored to be due to an infamous central mass ffl...too bad no one quite understand how outflanked we are by our oppressors!

Glock tried once, they painted the extractor bright red to be a LCI like many other firearms and Coakley said "uhh, no".

Yes, Glock could do this, but why bother? Glock already has a tactile LCI that is more effective than looking into a hole to see if a cartridge is chambered. At night, are you going to be able to look into the hole? No. At night, will you feel the LCI protruding as part of the extractor? Yes. This whole issue has nothing to do with an effective LCI because it's all about what Maura wants, even though she is wrong. She is not only wrong, but she also has an arrogant attitude and refuses to even define what an LCI should or should not do.

And as it has been stated many times, the MA gun market for Glock is miniscule compared to their worldwide market.
