How do you suppose she will remember the fact that the NRA and pro gun individuals helped her win the primary? That's some funny stuff right there.

That is very funny. But now we need to show her how united we are and have her removed in the general election along with Coakly.

500,000+ people voted in the Democratic primary. 200,000 came out for GOP.

    It's going to be tough.

Yes but many Republicans pulled Democratic ballots to spoil Tolman

Someone should go remind her on her Facebook page that she owes it all to the NRA. keep bringing it up until the election.

This was my plan. Though I felt dirty doing it and confused by the colors of the ballots... Has the Dem ticket always had a red header??

I pointed that exact same thing out to the wife last night. I think combined Baker and Fisher didn't pull as many votes as Grossman. I'm hoping that's because a lot of people wanted Tolman gone....

NES got many to pull a Dem ballot and vote against Tolman (me being one). There will be low turnout again in November and we just might be able to beat Healey. That would shake this state up. We need to get the word out! Imagine a GOP AG! See ya Deleo!

We need to get rid of Coakly too. That would be awesome. I'm going to e-mail the pres and VP of my club and have them put something in the newsletter to make sure every member gets out to vote against tyranny in November. Be sure to tell all your friends too.

There were a lot of other candidates that gained from the pro 2A crossover in this election. Let them know we won't be there in the General if they don't "evolve" their beliefs.

she is a "progressive"....meaning left wing loon. Just not as big a one as tollman was.

I HOPE she remembers the support the gun owners (not the NRA, give me a break) gave her. But the reality is she will carry on business as usual. Maybe if she has some really outlandish gun grabbing thought, she might remember this primary.

Go read the boston glob article on her winning, not a mention of tollman's crazy gun grabbing stance! it will all be forgotten

I find it interesting, in all the posts here supporting healey, that nobody mentioned she is a staunch lesbian. Times have changed indeed.

I see credits given to the gay communities, and ultra liberal Boston communities in the news, but none to the gun community.

She's not half bad looking for a lesbian. (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Yup. One of those was me (although I'm not a Republican; I'm "unenrolled").

You mean republicans who are listed as unenrolled. Republicans can't pull a D ballot during the primaries

As a lesbian she knows what it is like to have her rights suppressed. So she should understand the plight of the legal law abiding gun owner. However, even though I voted for her in the primary, I can assure you I will not be voting for her in the general election. My vote wasn't so much for her as it was against Tolman. She was just a means to eliminate a very nasty end.

So we had these two candidates for AG on the dem ticket. Even though I'll vote republican in the general there is a good chance we will lose. If we do I would rather lose to Healey than to Tolman.

Having said that, they are out of touch with the real causes of violence. We've covered it a thousand times or more so I won't rehash it here. But I only voted for her to get rid of Tolman.

Her being a lesbian means nothing to me. She supports the democratic process and Tolman doesn't . He wants to be a mini dictator and I think people saw that and didn't want him in that job because of it.

But Chapter 93A needs to be either modified or eliminated. Because Tolman is right. He owuld have the athority to make the changes he mentioned. G.O.A.L should look to get that changed or at least restricted to certain parts of the consumer code that do not pertain to firearms, ammunition and related components..

At some level, I don't really care. I'm just glad that Toolman was defeated. That bullshit about using existing law to force fingerprint trigger locks on guns was just retarded.

A lot of GOP candidates were running unopposed. There was a lot more competition for the Democrat nomination than for the GOP nominations. Combine that with it being a primary where I really haven't seen any advertisement for a Republican candidate (I can't watch TV without seeing 90% of commercials being for Democrat candidates, with the other 10% being for ED drugs), I'm guessing that most Republicans stayed home, while Independents took Democrat ballots.

Be careful with that. Depending on your club's tax status, they may not be allowed to advocate for candidates.

That's only because the Dem primary was where the action was. Like a rabid terrorist, Tolman had to be taken out. The Republican primary didn't matter a hoot. Baker was going to win no matter what and AG candidate Miller is unopposed.

A very sizable portion of the unenrolled voters in moonbat MA are former, closet and/or stealth Republicans. I know because I am one of them and I know plenty of others. I suspect the crossover vote played a huge roll in defeating nutcase Tolman.

Baker has an excellent shot at defeating Marsha. I'm voting Miller too. [thumbsup]

This is a hard one in which she may have the exact same plan as Tolman, but just didn't want to get the gun community against her.

But if so, her recognizing the political power of the MA gun community is a good thing in and of itself. [devil]

I looked at the 2 ballots and saw more names to make sure were NOT on the November ballot, thats exactly what I did. Now lets stay together in November!

This is what my wife and I did. We all know that the Dems do it to our side as well.

I felt like I was poking a turd with a stick asking for a D ballot.

Despite the People's Republic of Massachusetts reputation, more people are registered as Independents/Unenrolled than either party: in fact, both parties combined.

    There are 4,342,841 registered voters.
    2,283,273 Independents - 52.5%
    1,551,693 Democrats
    484,099 Republicans
    17,269 Other

Keep in mind that the Demoncratic party in MA and elsewhere is very fractious. You have the strongly Catholic ones that are anti-abortion, some that are pro high-tech business, a small percentage of trade unionists, the "Progressives" (AKA "Socialists") etc.
