Maura Healy at The Big E... today

Buyback. She's gonna get some AR's - barrel-first if she tries that. Sheesh. "I've decided that I'm not Governor, but my executive power exceeds everyone in the Commonwealth. Bow down to me!"

Since a stripped lower is now an AR, maybe we can turn those in for profit at the buy back. $50 isn't enough for a good lower though... Maybe if we use the Boris Lego mold approach we can make a profit.

" She said, "She's not done until every one is off the street"

She speaks about herself in the 3rd person?

Who needs a 3d printer? Got wood?

I'm in. I bet we can find some cheap airsoft copies and pop the orange plastic tip off. We may even make money off of it!

Dude...group buy. Those airsoft guns, according to the ATF, can be made fully auto.

Yeah, I had trouble following that as well.

First one to post "I'd hit that" will probably be evicted from NES for life.

Define 'hit' [wink]

Maybe she was "deceiving" your friend too, so that you would discuss it on NES, and have everyone in a tizzy.

Just got a text from a friend,... he had a brief conversation with her that went like this..

I just spoke with MH, I was messin with her.. and said, "you did a great job on the AR." She said, "She's not done until every one is off the street"

He then said, "she was as serious as a heart attack" she also said "they are going to offer a credit for the AR" ...

she had an escort of 6 state cops...

Isn't that a bit excessive for a societal blight that kills perhaps 300 people nationwide, per year?

She could save more lives by providing clean clothes and sanitary outhouses for the homeless to use, rather than peeing and poohing in the streets (and their clothes).

It would be cheaper and it WOULD save more lives.

..... But something like that would require the Legislature's action and would also need to be coupled with penalties for non-compliance....

But she has already established this. She isn't prosecuting for now. When the time comes and you don't turn in your illegal guns she'll simply change her mind and prosecute. I'm sure she'll wait for things to settle down first, but then phase two. Only question is will she move on to a fed position before she gets to phase two, or will she start over on a fed level.

BTW I was talking to an lib/anti the other day and even she acknowledged that the AG is getting out of hand with all BS she is doing. So the AG's BS is getting noticed...slowly. The actions of 7/20 is only part of it. I always include the lawsuits, the costs to taxpayers, and the Congressional subpoena, along with the 7/20 decree when trying to win support against the AG.

I'm going to guess that she doesn't care if a Republican voter expresses his outrage at her. Being the loudest voice in the room is not always being the best voice.
Maybe, but do you think over the top sarcasm is any better than outrage? I guess it is funnier. But neither will accomplish much.

You are making the mistake of applying logic / reason. If you have ever tried to reason with an ultra liberal. You will find that logic and facts bounce right off their heads. Or they get mad at you and don't want to continue the conversation.

I think she's just spouting unicorn fairy tale shit, its obvious this entire thing is political grandstanding, and thats probably "step 2' .

Mike, that skepticism has served you well in the past - right up to 7/20 - but we're in the middle of a paradigm shift with a great deal hinging on the outcome of the Presidential Election.

We know their game plan if Hillary wins as they've telegraphed it in several places already. Maura's wet dream is to impose fines for non-compliance that mean you'll quickly lose your house if you don't kneel to the King. This was one of the proposals for Longmeadow IIRC. They don't want to do this legislatively or by door-kicking, they want to do it administratively.

So I suggest we all overcome any reservations we have about Trump and hang together or we shall surely hang separately.

Well when you have a governor who folds like a wet paper bag, someone's going to fill the vacuum.
I'll give her credit, she's got a pair twice the size of Charlie's.

Clean clothes and toilets would not get you national applause from politicians and celebrities. Are you assuming that she actually intends to serve the public? [rofl]

How about buying some cheap airsoft guns, taking the inner brass barrel out along with gear box. With their knowledge in firearm I bet they won't know the difference[rofl] turn these ones in all day long for $200-300$ a piece. Gear box, inner barrel and motor can be sold separately on ebay for more extra profit[laugh2]
Buying cheap plastic looking guns to turn in for money.... would be a great to get a bunch of guys to do that.

should have asked her why she is choosing to disarm Mass residents when we are being attacked and murdered by a terrorist group that wants to destroy us. Why does she choose to punish the innocent for the acts of criminals and terrorists?

Because she needs a scapegoat, and we are not like her - the definition of bigotry.

I honestly don't think this bullshit has anything to do with the election, other than healy's political aspirations. Like I said before, she knows the MA AG gig is a dead end job so she is trying to
get her ticket out. I guess if Trump wins thats a cute way of punching her in the face politically. But who gives a **** about that, your vote doesn't count in MA anyways for president. This state was sold to hitlery a long time ago. We're pretty much powerless unless you have friends and family in the dozen or so swing states you can influence.

I like your conspiracy theory about gun registration and fines... but this is a state that can't even operate a gun registration system well, what makes you think they're going to administer a program like that that efficiently? [rofl] That's going to require a paradigm shift in MA legislature in terms of spending more money to hate guns, and I don't see that happening. (A big part of the reason past MA gun control passed is because it cost little money to implement). In order for this conspiracy of yours to come true Healey & co will have to amass support from the legislature in order to do it. I don't think that's coming anytime soon, given that she pissed on their shoes on the 20th.

The only saving grace in MA, if you've watched gun politics here, is that in relative terms, MA "sucks at being evil" compared to other anti gun states. This is because it doesn't spend money on gun control. Gun control that encompasses a wide scope of influence requires money to implement that. Good luck to Healey when she tries to pitch that someone doesn't need a new public school and we need more gun control instead. [rofl]

I had a similar discussion with my very liberal mother. She's not into guns, and doesn't know I am (what she doesn't know doesn't hurt her) but figured out a way to breach the subject. After explaining the whole 7/20 fiasco, she felt like it was a waste of the .gov's time and with the tiny number of crimes committed, 20 year history, and the fact that the legislature just redid the gun laws a few years ago, this was nothing more than a power grab by Healy and is not acceptable.

Real monies would never get approved for a buybacks. She said 10k AR's where sold last year alone which just based on the years since '94 is only about 5% of all AR sales, granted I'm sure more have sold in recent years so that's not completely accurate.. But if they were able to round up 10k rifles for $100 a pop that's $1m dollars, can't see anyone turning in a AR for $100..
