A friend asked if he could swing by with a pistol that his grandfather brought back from the war. He asked me to check it out and see if I could make it work. He was told by his grandfather that the firing pin had been removed before the pistol was brought back from Europe.
When he handed it to me I was floored. It is an all matching original and correct P38 with two correct magazines and an original holster.
The moment I looked at it I could see the firing was infact still in the pistol. I grab 7 rounds and we went out back.
BANG! Perfect function.
The pistol had not been shot since before my friends grandfather brought it home. It was an awesome experience. I "erased" the serial number in the pictures.
