MasterLock trigger locks...Best place to get a dozen or so? (keyed alike)

If the dollar store sold combination trigger locks that'd be my choice.
Why wouldn't they be?

Buy a safe. You can get a great safe that will hold two dozen handguns and is more secure than a $2000 "gun safe" for $160 from this guy on CL.
1/4" plate body and 1/2" door is the real deal. I've dealt with him in the past. He's a great guy.

The only value to the master lock is if you WANT something you can easily slip if you forget your key, but still maintain legal compliance.
In reality that's all any gun lock is good for. And possibly preventing kids under 10 from getting at your guns.
Like I said above. Get a safe. Its actually going to be cheaper than a dozen of these locks

1) protection from theft. (Its the right thing to do)
2) more convenient than locks
3) legal compliance.
4) real actual protection from teenagers who are smart enough to watch a youtube video on how to slip a master trigger lock.

p.s. re teenagers, I see this as really protecting my kids friends. My kids already know what they need to know as far as safe gun handling and can shoot any time they want. So there is no reason for them to sneak a peak at a gun.

I'm amazed you don't own a safe.
I think we all know that trigger locks aren't for security. They are solely for compliance with the MA storage statute. They suck for security. They are fine for compliance with the MA security statute.
I'm concerned about security and we own our home, so I've got safes. But that's not an option for everyone.

All the law states is that you transport in a locked trunk, locked case, or other secure container. A combination lock is a lock.

I will NEVER use a key lock for any guns again. Too much of a pain losing or forgetting the keys. With combination locks you don't have to worry about getting the same brand as you can set them all to the same combo regardless of make/model. And, you can change the combo at any time. Since we've already determined that there is very little security provided by these locks and it's more about meeting the letter of the law, then I consider a quality lock to be one that works reliably, but that I could break if I needed to without ruining the Pelican case it was keeping locked up. I use both padlocks, and cable locks depending on the situation. For cable locks, I have excellent results with the Franzen Security Products lock at about $8 each:
