Massachusetts Isn't the Only State With "Dinks"

I am SO glad I moved out of Illinois. Hell, I went back for 4 years in the 90's, and I was even happier to get the hell out the 2nd time.

It's beyond my ability to ridicule.

Aurora used to be proud of the fact that it was outside the Chicago/Cook County political veil. Looks like city sprawl has sucked Aurora into suburbia.

Actually, in some ways IL does make MA look good. In some towns in MA, you can easily get an LTC for ALP. IL does not have concealed carry. None at all. Not even discretionary carry permits.

I grew up in IL. I have absolutely zero desire to go back.

In addition, there are several towns in IL where handguns are banned. IIRC, Morton Grove, Evanston, Winnetka, Chicago, etc.

MA sucks. But there are worse states.

I believe you mean "several towns in IL", not MA.

Like 1911, I grew up in IL. No desire to return, except IL does have some FINE upland bird & deer hunting. Guess I'll just have to get my nephew to invite me out there for a hunt or two; as long as I know I'm leaving after a short visit.

There was ONE way around the LTC issue in IL; at least in the smaller towns around Peoria (current home of Shotgun News), Quincy and such. If you became part of either 1) a county Sheriff auxillary/reserve or 2) a part-time LEO in any small town (no 400 hours required), you were expected to carry off duty. MANY of my shooting buddies at the Chillicothe R&G and the East Peoria ranges took that route.

Didn't seem to go over too well though, up-state.

Would that ban cover index fingers and thumbs? I mean, talk about high-cap weapons! Mine NEVER ran out of ammo when I was nine.

Well, it DOES perpetuate the whole evil gun culture thing! Flash-backs to that baby-site thread!!

Not only that, posession of an unregistered handgun in Chicago by a resident is illegal, and it has been illegal to register a handgun in that city since 1982.

I think that bill coming out is a good thing. It has probably ZERO chance of passing, and the Truth of the Agenda is out in the open.

Sarah Brady has got to be pissed that someone came out with it too early. Either that, or the Anti-Gunners know they're losing their support, and are trying a desperate attempt at their end-goal.

I think that your second statement is more in target.

C-Pher, it's only good because it's now in the open to the sheeple what the Anti-Gunners really want.

We've known this all along, but the majority of folks in this country don't realize that AWB's and such are just an interim measure, and a sham. Well, now they may find out.
