Massachusetts: Anti-Gun Bills Introduced in the House

FRIDAY, JANUARY 29, 2021

Since the start of the 2021 Legislative Session, the Massachusetts House has seen the introduction of multiple anti-gun bills. A couple of the more egregious ones are outlined below:

HD 135 - An Act Relative to Universal Background Checks for Private Gun Sales (Rep. David Linsky)

  • Bans most firearm sales and transfers between private individuals without first paying fees and obtaining government permission. Firearm sales between friends or neighbors would not be exempted. This proposal would have no impact on crime and is completely unenforceable.

HD 136 - An Act to Require Liability Insurance for Gun Ownership (Rep. David Linsky)
  • Requires liability insurance for anyone who possesses, carries, or owns a firearm. The one exception is that it does not apply to someone who possesses a firearm on a temporary basis while at a licensed gun club.

HD.135 is what they need next--and it mirrors the push at a national level.

Closing off that avenue of obtaining firearms is the next chess piece they need to move off the board.

Anybody have an intelligent analysis (read: a serious political analysis vs jaded-tard pessimism) of how likely it is to pass?

51% of all M*A*S*H plots end up with someone irritating getting drugged,
photographed in bed with a goat,
and then sent on their way with an album of sample prints selected from the negatives.

This being NES,
we can probably scare up the camera, goat, and army cot.

So when does Bill Cosby come up for parole?

HD 136 is completely racist! Clearly targeting minorities and the poor. They want guns only to be for the elite, rich, white privileged.

What I fear most is now under the guise of Covid; a few councilors will converse at midnight on a weekend, virtually, with no input from lawful citizens and pass these bullshit laws. aka: Scott Harshbarger and "the list" back in the 90's when a handful of people met a someone's house in Spencer, Mass.

These crazy Linsky bills in the past involved formal hearings and the chambers were always packed, as well out in the halls and outside the door with concerened citizens.

I hope Comm2A can get involved. They seem to be the one outfit that can produce results for us.

As we’ve seen with “how to win an election” now with POTUS, anything is “possible”.
