EXTREME RISK ORDERS PITCHED AS WAY TO CURB GUN DEATHS
[Developing] Gun law proponents flocked to the State House on Tuesday in support of a Rep. David Linsky bill that would allow Massachusetts families, law enforcement officers and health care providers to obtain temporary court orders to prevent a person at risk of endangering themselves or others from possessing or buying a firearm.
"This bill won't cost a cent, but it will save lives," Linsky told dozens of advocates who turned out for the lobby day.
