TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Taunton police are investigating after a city bank was robbed at gunpoint on Christmas Eve.
A man armed with a rifle walked into the First Citizens Credit Union on Winthrop Street just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and ordered tellers and a customer to the ground, according to police.
Police said the man fired a single shot into a wall, but fortunately no one was struck. He then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

what is that a mini-14 with a side folding stock?

Why is it that banks have the worst camera system known to man while skate boarders and skiers have a simple Go Pro getting 100 times better videos?

This X1, I hope the price of the cheap cameras is 1/1000% of what they lost. Cheap bastardes hope they are self insured.

let's hope the guy doesn't have a flash hider on that thing.....or else he'd really be in trouble

Looks like they took a picture of the surveillance monitor with a cell phone camera. I'm sure if they pulled a screenshot of the video then the quality would be better.

It boggles my mind that insurance companies don't require businesses and banks to have something better than 1980s camcorder technology.

Yup; high capacity, fully semi-automatic, assault machine gun.

i am amazed it didn't shoot 40+ rounds off as he opened the door.

I am am so glad I was sheltered in place.....Jeeze that was close.
