Marlin 336 problems

I have an older Marlin 336 RC.When I load the tube mag with 6 shells it will chamber and fire the the first round no problem.The second and sometimes the third round seems to get stuck coming out of the tube mag and has to be dragged out with a screwdriver or a car key.Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?
