Didn’t work out too bad at all. All cash now. Market is super wobbly. Notice JNUG gave a new 52 week low today. How much lower can gold equities go? I’ve been out of them since June.

Not sure about gold miners, GDX and GDXJ are below support. GDXJ is $28 and it hit $19.9 for a few minutes back during the market bloodbath on March 23 2020. There’s a lot of bigger miners that had held up well and are now joining the sell off. Juniors have mostly bottomed.

Gold is testing $1680 for the 18th time it seems. Could go to $1600. It mostly depends on the general stock market. If that gets ugly gold will probably rally.

Ouch. Who got spanked today? It’s not over yet until we see that limit down.
I am sobbing and crying in maximum loss pain mode right now... curled up in a fetal position and sucking my thumb. :(

But at least one thing's for certain: I remain 100% committed and consistent in my buy high/sell low approach to investing.

At least I've got that going for me. 🤪

What instruments are you working with? Inverse etfs?
I bought SARK back in November because I hate Kathy Wood. When she's crying SARK goes up 8 or 9 percent like yesterday.....

If I didn't have to pay for a wedding this year I would have made good money yesterday...but all in all Im up 10 bucks a share on it.

Silver is looking very bullish. Up 4% on the week while stocks and gold were down. Commercial silver futures traders are net long for only the 3rd time since the 1980s.
Silver miners have been moving up as gold moves lower.

Nobody wants to touch gold and silver miners cause they’re worried a stock market correction/crash will wreck the miners like in 2008 and 2020. But those two times, the miners were very strong heading into the crash, not bombed out like now. And miners bottomed 6th months before the S&P500 hit 666 in 2009.

I believe I bonds will be a good investment at least for the next 5 years or so since I don't see interest rates declining to zero again.

Would be even nicer if they started paying a fixed percentage again. If you look at older bonds, they pay 1-3% fixed + whatever the gov paid on top. So some people are collecting 12-13% right now.

But lately they all pay ZERO% fixed rate.

Do you think they will add a fixed rate?

Look at the older bonds: (sorry, phone screenshots so I couldn't get the entire table).

Here's my plug for Fortitude Gold Corp (FTCO):

I do like that monthly dividend, but would that the OCC would begin option trading on this, too.
