Man holds would-be carjacker at gunpoint until police arrive

All sorts of 'that's how it's done" in this one!!!!

What was worse for the criminal? Being held at gun point or the lecture? lmao!!!!

Wait, so "entering an automobile" is an actual crime in Atlanta?

O.C.G.A. 16-8-18 (2010)
16-8-18. Entering automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony

"If any person shall enter any automobile or other motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft or a felony, he shall be guilty of a felony...."

(source: http://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2010/title-16/chapter-8/article-1/16-8-18)

Some states consider unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle to be B&E or burglary.

Well handled by all involved, even the guy who woke up stupid seemed to get some sense knocked into him. Firearms can sometimes do that.

What if the man on the ground tried to get up and run away and what if the man holding him at gunpoint shot him? If you have a concealed carry permit do you have the right to hold someone that has committed a crime at gunpoint until the police arrive?

Citizens arrest would allow the detainment but shooting the perp would be a no go.

But if you were to detain the perp - oops, sorry, the "poor, confused soul" - at gunpoint? In MA?...
You'd probably have Maura charge you with ABDW for scaring the guy, for frightening him, "making him feel sad", etc...You heartless S.O.B. [wink]
