Make your titles relate to the thread - avoiding dups

I just don't understand why people starting threads often want to use a funny title or make a title that is really not related to the thread.

this makes it very hard to tell what the thread is about and ends up creating lots of duplicate threads.

Agreed. A title of "this is funny" is not informative at all. Titles of threads should be like newspaper headlines.

I get pissed off more when I look in General for gun related articles and I find one about dupes. It should be in off topic with anything else not gun related.
