This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208. 4

This bill proposes to review all firearm laws through creation of a study group, 5 directing a department to
study or other means to determine if more could be done to 6 protect citizens, particularly educators and chil-
dren in school, from gun violence. The 7 review should include, but not be limited to, the effectiveness of
background checks and 8 when they are or are not required; the accessibility of body armor, ammunition and
other 9 items collateral to firearm ownership; and the laws allowing possession of firearms by 10 employees in
their cars while at work and by people visiting state parks. 11
