They must be pretty backed up. It was like 6 weeks for me a couple years ago. 8 months ago, I did a change of address, and that took like 3 weeks.

Yeah, their web site says they are swamped and expect several months to pass before getting anything from them. I think they are processing renewals faster. I sent in my renewal in August and I received it mid October. Faster then the OP, but still a good amount of time.
