Maine Gun Shops

Aside from the Trading Post, can any one recommend gun shops located in Maine between Kittery to Biddeford?

Not sure of anything down south, but there are two great shops in central Maine, Van Raymonds and Maine Military, both of which are in Brewer.

One exit beyond Biddeford is the new Cabelas. Exit 42.

If double guns (shotguns) are your thing, it would be worth the extra hour NE from Biddeford to visit Coles in Harpswell. Call first.

There's a place in Freeport... an antique store with a gun "annex". (Stuff for the wife... stuff for the husband) IIRC it's about 1 mile south of the town on the east side of Rt. 1. It's a big barn behind a house.

I'd skip that one for the time being. I haven't heard anything else since the article.

The story in the paper last week said that Mr. Collett pleaded guilty to three felony counts in Federal court in Portland. They said he'll be sentenced in November and could get as much as 15 years and a $750,000 fine.

Good I hope he rots in prison...
