iirc, this came about because somebody bought land next to a range then decided they didn't like the noise so they built a cabin close to the property line and tried to get the range shut down. said whiny d-bag might have been on a town planning board or something of the like. i can't find the original article or remember the town name.

I wonder what does constitute a shooting range in Maine. I have a 100 yard "range" with a earthen berm at the target end on my property. I shoot a lot there. No houses anywhere near yet and maybe never but it would be good to have it documented as a range or not? Any thoughts?
