I received a Troy chassis For my M1A for Christmas with a Magpul PRS butt stock. The butt stock has an adjustable butt plate. I read in the stickys that it is legal and not telescoping, but I am hard pressed to find a definition of telescoping in regards to "assault rifles". This is what I read under AWB FAQ's......

Q: Why are stocks like the Magpul PRS considered legal? Doesn't that back section "collapse" ?

A: If you read the law and how it describes a collapsible stock, it does not fit the definition of such a stock. Something like the PRS is "adjustable" but not collapsible. (the parts on the PRS don't really "telescope".

I really do not want to pin this stock, so what do you say? These laws drive me nuts. I just want to be in compliance, but I can't see through all the mud.

Not illegal. Not even a little. Besides there s no way to pin it. It's a fixed stock with adjustable features.
