What is the difference between a Magnetic Partical Inspected bolt carrier assembly to one that has not been inspected this way?

A Magnetic Particle tested BCG has been QC tested to ensure there are no dangerous cracks or microfractures that are not visible on visual inspection. Such problems can lead to dangerous situations if not detected.

I replaced the carrier in my HD carbine with a MP tested BCG from LMT, and replaced a bolt on one of my Model 1 BCGs with a Colt MP tested BCG. My other BCG is a Model 1, not tested. I feel fine with any of them, but for the HD/SHTF rifle I want the best (which is LMT)

I disagree. They test to make sure there aren't defects. Colt's been doing it since they started making the first M16s, with every bolt and barrel, but not all manufacturers do.
