I was not aware that was the case, and apologize for seeming insensitive.
As whacko stated, hopefully your family can have some comfort knowing that others in the hunting/shooting community are interested in the tragedy in order to make others safer and prevent similar tragedies.
Thank you all for the support. I will add any other factual information to this thread when we have a final police report. Our family still 100% supports hunting and I will personally try to spread the word about safety and proper gun handling.
