MA Resident buying and keeping Handguns Maine

What is the legalitiy of a MA resident (primary MA residence, MA drivers license, etc...)who owns a second home in Maine buying handguns in Maine? Can they do so? Do they require a Maine license?

If you can play the dual residency as led finest the ATF, then you should be able to do so. However, paying that game seems rather tough to do. Someone with more experience will chime in I am sure.

It's tough to convince dealers but under certain circumstances is perfectly legal per BATFE.

I can tell you that I was in a large Maine gun shop with a Mass resident who has a second home in Maine. He was told that he needed to provide a tax bill for the home in Maine to purchase.
