MA LTC Restriction Question

Hello all,

In the sporting and Target&Hunting restriction It says "for the purpose of collecting" when citing when you can carry. What is for the purpose of collecting? Apologies if my questions isn't the best. Im just not clicking with what it means.

Can you post a link or picture of the description? Purpose of collecting sounds like a C&R, separate from target and hunting.

Only one who can tell you what your particular restriction means is the LO or chief in the town that issued it.

Anything that any of us may speculate could easily be wrong and result in your LTC being suspended/revoked if you relied on us.

It means when you're collecting butterflies you're allowed to carry a .416 Rigby in case one of them suddenly charges you.

i remember brockton many years ago had an insert defining t&h and sporting in different categories, never saw collecting in either description. so as len said, we have no clue as to what your local PD defines. check with the licensing officer

Contact the PD. Honestly I wouldn’t carry at all, with any restriction.
