The archetype of "New England GOP quislings" remind me of fudds that control a gun club. As long as that faction is around, they pollute everything they touch with political cancer. "Bwah, thats the way its always been dun! do you wanna loose kehd?" half of them are probably borderline dems to begin with. I'm not suggesting that Baker even had to be mostly conservative, given the realities of this shithole- but- as the non moonbat option, the guy can't even be bothered to throw the base a bone once in awhile? christ. Anyone remember when NH GOP did this with Walt Haverstein (Have A Stain, lol) instead of pushing for Hemenway? Yeah... NH non moonbats got punished for years as a result of that and it took years to recover from that serious tactical error, all because of institutional hubris of some (not all, clearly, but enough to cause problems) GOP insiders in the region.

On the other hand- my gut says, that in MA really, none of this matters (whether one votes for Baker or not, or this communist guy gets in) the whole idea of even something marginally better is a pipe dream and MA has just finished digging the road bed for the "Connecticut-Grade Lunacy Annex North" and will likely be that bad in a 5-10 years maybe, and there's no a damned thing that can be done about it, because of the gerrymandering and other corruption that goes on this state to block out anyone not on the "in crowd" list in the legislature or otherwise.

I had to vote by absentee ballot. Couldn't bring myself to vote for the slimy Faker even though the Dim/Socialist candidate is probably 1,000 times worse. I left it blank. Wife says she is doing likewise. How shitty is that? [thinking]

Every time I turn on Youtube, 3 out of 4 ads are Baker ads. TV - every break is a Baker ad. What is the guy spending?? And how much of it is party $ versus he own???

Some days I think he's a Democrat plant.

Just got back from early voting and did the same. Me thinks that the Faker is gonna get a lot of blank votes this time around.

You pay for that. Very targeted stuff. A lot of online advertising, but a lot of TV as well.

On a related note: Was watching AFV on Ch 5 at 7pm. Big advert. for some new super shooting range in RI. 150yd indoor range. Basically the Beverly Hills Range from BHC2 - but in RI. LOL. Thought it was odd.

He should switch, but probably won't. He controls the Republican state committee. Any future political ambitions he might have will be easier for him as a liberal Republican than as a centrist Democrat. He'll have far less influence in the Democratic establishment here.

You sure about that? The ad posted above I assume is the one being run on the TV daily. You gotta be a pretty bad Republican if the Democrats in your own state are tripping over their dicks to support you.

I think that ad would sink him like a stone if he runs outside Ma. As a republican .

Yea, the Mittens plan. It got him a Republican Presidential candidate nomination, and gave us 8 years of Short Deval.
