MA Cannon license

Actually, I think they were trying to make the FD chief look bad - he made all kinds of allegations about incompetence on the part of the cannoneer, and had no evidence other than butthurt (see the last line of the article - "I'm the Chief!")
He seems to be doing that all by himself.

I'm planning on setting up a course this April/May.
Location will be in Central Ma.
Course will be 1 evening and 1 Saturday.
Limited to 6 people
Class includes a prep guide
How to navigate the Massachusetts process
Cannon crew roles and safety
Making rounds, slowmatch and fuze
Range setup
Blank and live fire.
Cost will be $250 per person.
I will post once the logistics are finalized, Hope to have some more details 1st week of February.

So, is it true in Mass you can only use primer-fired cannons? No wicks

See and expand the post from @FSTC above. [rockon]

@FSTC

How did your course go? Were any NES members able to make it?

One time in my town, a non-profit that I volunteered for, did something without kissing the ring of the building inspector. He showed up, screaming like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum, threatening to demand removal of the constructed item. We were smart enough to bend over and beg forgiveness, which after more yelling and threats on his part, made the problem go away.

City bureaucrats really are very similar to power obsessed, infantile toddlers.
