Published by the Government Printing Office for the War Department, dated April the 30th 1940. A rare copy of the Basic Field Manual FM 23-35 for the Automatic Pistol Caliber .45 M1911 and M1911A1 that was issued during WWII and authorized by General George C. Marshall, Chief of Staff.

The manual was published for the information and guidance on proper small arms combat and details loading and firing dismounted and mounted (from horseback), marksmanship and training courses to be fired with the M1911. An important addition to your vintage Colt, Remington Rand, US&S or Singer vintage 1911 and 1911A1 U.S. Military and Government Model Pistol collection.
