M&P 15 .22 Barrel Shroud legal in MA?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I am customizing a M&P 15 .22 for a fun range gun, put a scope on it and added some Magpul accessories and a forgrip. Iv been looking at a barrel shroud for my gun, basically makes the rifle look like it has a suppressor. My question is the shroud I found just slides over the outer barrel and is tightened on via a set screw to the barrel, this doesn't actually silence the gun or lengthen the barrel just adds a look I am going for, would this be consider legal in the state of Mass? here is the link to the shroud http://www.tacticool22.com/shop/smith-wesson-mp1522-short-barrel-shroud-45-inch-p-7.html
