A buddy picked this up at auction.

Stamped 1915. All visible numbers match.

Front strap (grip) marked R.J.c7.3 rest is illegible.

Here are pics of some markings.

Any ideas?

Idea of the unit? The "c" in the unit mark doesn't compute, this should rather be a number.
Try to get a good shot of the unit mark and we'll try to decipher it.
Other than this, it appears to be a run-of-the-mill DWM (Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken, Berlin) P.08.
Does the number on the wooden mag bottom match the pistol's? The full serial, likely with a script suffix letter,
is on the front of the frame. A detail pic will help to determine that, too.

The monogram, I believe, indicates that it was manufactured by DWM - Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken. A Google search will give you tons of information.

It's obviously a DWM, but I assume your looking for the exact model. Get me clear pictures of every side of the gun (top, front, sides, etc) and the barrel length, and I'll look it up in my "Standard catalog of Luger" for you.
