Unless they changed it, the law says they have to process new applications and renewals in 40 daysMind you, that’s the state guidance so even they know it can take a long time.
The photo on my recent renewal is so bad there is no way you could ID me with it. i don't know how it got sent out like that. Hopefully, no one ever decides it's a problem.I put mine in near the end of August and I got it about a month later - with a royally bad picture that one can hardly see. Surprised it was sent out like that, but I received it late September.
What about out of staters? I pay $100 to MA every year for the privilege of carrying while visiting. Are non-res LTC processed faster than anti gun red towns?
did you meet up with that dime too?I was just in Chelsea last month for my MA Non-Res LTC
The MA FRB recommends about 5 months. They won't accept any renewal applications before the 6 month prior time-line.
I'd suggest doing the 6 month prior renewal for a MA Non-Rest LTC.
I assume that you meant "time".did you meet up with that dime too?
No I meant dime. I got fingerprinted by this young brunette wonder if you had the same.I assume that you meant "time".
- Renewal application received at MA FRB on 3/15.
- MA FRB letter with interview date & time, I received on 5/15.
- Interview date shown on letter set for 9/16.
- As of now .... still waiting on renewal.

“You’ve got my info so it’s only fair you give me yours.”No I meant dime. I got fingerprinted by this young brunette wonder if you had the same.
I questioned that myself because mine is the same. Thankfully, I've been going to the same shop for years so it shouldn't be problem, but it's still concerning. The photo on my recent renewal is so bad there is no way you could ID me with it. i don't know how it got sent out like that. Hopefully, no one ever decides it's a problem.
Same here. My town will not accept a renewal any earlier than 2 months prior to the expiration date.Everyone says 6 months. My town won't take a renewal until 2 months. Then it expires for 3 until you get it
I sent mine in in early March for a September renewal. Don't recall when I received it, but it was months early. What about out of staters? I pay $100 to MA every year for the privilege of carrying while visiting. Are non-res LTC processed faster than anti gun red towns?
I thought that they stopped the interviews for NRs after the initial issue? I still have 2 yrs to go before my 6 yrs with NR LTCs is up. Depending on what they do about instructor led training and LEOSA, I'll decide if I'll keep giving them $100/yr or not.I assume that you meant "time".

Chicopee will renew no sooner than 60 days prior to expiration.
Took me a week before I found out they release the calendar at midnight. Very dumb system and no info about it on the website. And getting an appointment is a bitch. They do one day a week and the appointments are gone in about 5 minutes.
Just got mine also, Like you said-really bad pictureI put mine in near the end of August and I got it about a month later - with a royally bad picture that one can hardly see. Surprised it was sent out like that, but I received it late September.
