LTC question

Quick question, I have been told that I need to go through the AG for a LTC and then I have also been told I can obtain it through the local PD. Which is correct?

Your PD is supposed to handle it. But many PDs direct you to the AG, who turns down most CCW permit requests. Your best bet is to check with the folks at http://www.cralri.com/

I think that Old Guy didn't realize that this was a question by a RI resident asking about RI laws.

Possibly, due to the fact that the OP referred to the permit as an "LTC," which does not exist in RI.

And the fact that the AG has nothing to do with issuing LTCs in MA, but the AG does issue permits in RI.
