So I wonder when they will start fining the drug users who hangout at night, being they don’t fine them for leaving needles around or drinking there I say it will be zero. More feel good dumbass laws. The person being caught up in this will be the mom or dad who sneaks off for a quick smoke while their kids are playing only to find out they are within 2.5 ft of the ban area and gets a 200 fine

So is there a new law or something?

Don't smoke. Don't care.

OP. If you're going to bitch about something at least be up front and tell us what your issue is. :D
First they came for the <insert any group>, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a <insert any group>.

Demolition Man isn't so far fetched as more time passes.

Be well.

I was a long time smoker who quit. Frankly IDGAF if a pac costs 50.00.
I also find it comical that you spout off as a free member here.

Boo hoo, did I get somebodies panties in a bunch? So what you quit smoking(something heaps of people do), do want a cookie or something?

Like you IDGAF if a pack of smokes costs $50 but all sin taxes are BS. If someone wants to fire up they can go right ahead, I just don't think they should be taxed/fee'd differently than anything else.

So, what's your stance on something like the per bullet tax Cali was working on? Is that something anti/non gun owners should care about? Should we here on the east coast not care because it isn't happening here?*

As for spouting off, I wasn't aware you had been made hall monitor as to who could say what around here(might want to message me the rule book so I better know my place). I had been a paid member but stopped for reasons that were my own. Here's a shocker, if you don't like that I don't care.

Point being, most folks DGAS until it effects them. At that point, it's too late.

*Psst, once one tard state does it they all eventually follow or do worse.

You should go GREEN. You will lose some of your hostility.

Good day

If you don't like the law, get it changed.

Where have I heard that before? [rolleyes]

That said, I'm happy with this. Freedoms are so 20th Century.

I just want to see them when they start rounding up homeless people and drug addicts. I don’t live in Lowell so I have no dog in this fight. Nor do I partake in killing myself sucking on smoking leaves[laugh2]

I grew up in Lowell, spend most of my time in Lowell and currently live 2 minutes outside of Lowell. I see what you are describing day-in and day-out.
There are 20-30 pop tents along the Lowell Connector, down the embankment of River-Meadow Brook. They were displaced from along the
Pawtucket Canal behind Dunkin Donuts on the corner of Dutton, Fletcher and Thorndike. They were along the Merrimack River across from
the UMASS Lowell Soccer Fields before that.

Drugs, Poverty, Mental Illness, Anti-Social Behavior and Laziness; all fostered and encouraged by Lowell's Liberal-Socialists are to blame.
Lowell of the 70's and early 80's was a blue-collar hard working town. Now it is a Free Shit Army on steroids...

Just one man's view...

I'm sure the guy writing the check for the hosting fee, the domain registration, and whatever else shares your sense of humor.
Or maybe he laughs at the suckers who are lining his wallet??

Who knows....

There was a media ad a while back that said "There's a lot to like about Lowell". In almost 59 years I haven't found it yet well except for my wife... most days. :D

She was from South Lowell off Woburn St that was a nice neighborhood back then. Today, not so much. I briefly thought about buying her parents house that was rather affordabe and converting it back into a 3 family. A guy that I shot pistol and trap with (who was a lawyer) asked me why I wanted to rent to people who couldn't afford a house. I gave it a little thought and agreed with that thinking knowing I would never be living in it.
It was some of the best free advice I ever got.

All I need to know about renting to people in Lowell I learned back in college. A friend of mine was from Lowell and his father rented out their house. Surprise, the renters refused to pay rent and did everything they could to destroy the place. Lots of drugs. Smashing everything. And, they would even drop pants and take a dump right on the sofa (house came furnished so they didn't own it). They could not be evicted, something about the landlord being a slum lord and not keeping the house in a liveable condition so they didn't have to pay rent .... Funny, it was in great condition before these "renters" moved in.

The house was eventually condemned due to literal shit everywhere and it being a health hazard. That finally forced out the "renters". The house itself had to be destroyed.

Instead of banning smoking, they should just have a $1K fine for loitering. Throw a cigarette butt on the ground, PAY A FINE!

There are only two things I hate about smokers:

1. They throw their sh*t everywhere.
2. If they are smoking up wind from me, their smoke hits me in the face. We should be allowed to punch them for that.

But, it should not be illegal to smoke outside.
