Looks like most of the sheep didn't comply ?

Hah, 50,000 guns registered and only 38,000 magazines. Who only owns 1 magazine for their ebr? I have about 15 each for my ar and ak.

Outstanding to all those silent masses in CT. I know members here complied, simply because they are moving and don't want to get DQ'd - just remember move and never send another dime there. This includes casinos, all stores in CT (this is why I now shop in Maine at Cabelas).

It sounds like up to 12,000 people have no big mags for their rifles [smile].

I'm amazed that there are only 50,000 EBRs in CT. I would have guessed more. [wink]

For weeks I've been wondering why these numbers weren't released yet. More guns than I'd hoped, but still enough non-compliance to send a clear message.

Hmmm. 3.59 miliion is the population of CT and it looks like 16.2% of the population owns firearms. So that should be just under 600,000 who own guns, roughly. Let's assume worse case is 3/4 of those are FUDDS who see no purpose in AR's, leaving 145,000 who might be subject to this. That means we still have a shit ton of non-compliance, even more so when you consider most people own more than 1! This makes me smile.

I don't see them kicking in doors..too much chance something bad will happen...seeing as they just don't know who owns what as private sales required no paperwork....maybe some threatning letters or maybe a visit..I just don't think they will be running up in homes like that

A letter wouldn't grant them entry. A warrant may-provided its specific. I think all they can do, in reality, is stomp their feet and get real mad. Were i a taxpayer in that state, and the police spent a lot of time on this, as opposed to real police work, my rep would be getting a call. And it would come up at every single town meeting. This is what they wanted-now there are hundreds of thousands of felons in ct? The law didn't protect anyone-it created a criminal class. What happened to their promise of safety???

The pols are fools to expect otherwise. They need to read the Reason articles on gun registration programs and they would have known the vast majority would not comply.

Good for Connecticut!

Before everybody starts patting each other on the back, I'd point out that:

a) no one says exactly how many "assault weapons " were actually sold in Ct over the years. 50,000 may be closer to the real number then the first article would lead you to believe.

b) They haven't played the publicly arrest a hold out or two yet.

c) It's going to get worse before it gets better.

This is worthy of [party]. I was pissed when I saw the boot lickers complying here and pissing themselves at the though of having to answer for what they have. At the same time evidently 96% still have their balls and are not showing their cards. When I was down at Hoffman once there were a few guys in there talking about running 855 through a tumber to remove the green tip. Their though was **** THEM and what are they going to do put a magnet to each bullet?

Go talk to Hoffman and see how many they were selling regularly and in the run up to the ban. You will then realize how misguided your number really is.
