i have attended a few seminars/events/gatherings where different medicinal or edible plants were discussed. i have books that tell me what to do with plants when i find them and i have field guides that aren't all that helpful in identifying....
what i'm looking for is a class that goes into the woods with an expert who spends time pointing out plants. anyone know of any offerings like that within a half hour or so of lawrence? thanks in advance.

I will be leading an edible plant walk on Saturday,July 18th in ware ma. and In Agawam ma. on Monday, July 20th. They're further than a half hour from Lawrence but maybe you can make it out to one of the walks. Feel free to pm me for more details.

If you know of any local garden or sportsman clubs looking for a presenter and willing to host me we could make it happen. I also teach private and semi private classes if that would be easier?

Russ Cohen seems to do presentations all over new england, you just have to time him. I took one of his foraging walks last year and it was good. He's a bit awkward, socially, but seemed to be a wealth of knowledge.

Just a reminder, if anyone is interested I will be leading an edible plant walk leaving from workshop 13 at 13 church st. ware ma. on sat. July 18th at 9am. The walk will last about 1 1/2 hours and the cost is only $15 per person. Knowing your wild foods is a great skill to have!
I will also be hosting a walk at the agawam library in Agawam ma. on Monday, july 20th at 6:30. This Is a free one. Come on down.
