Intermediate Combat Pistol Course
This course is designed to better prepare the graduate of the NRA Basic Pistol course to effectively use a firearm for self-defense purposes.
Subjects covered will include, but are not limited to:
* Combat mindset
* Situational awareness and threat avoidance
* Principals of combat marksmanship
* Firearm manipulations
* Proper shooting platform
* Firearm presentation
* Shot placement
* Firearm malfunctions and how to solve them
* Engaging multiple threats
* Shooting on the move
* CCW carry options
Participation in the program requires a current State of Connecticut CCW permit. Note: This is NOT a NRA program. Non-residents of CT with home state CCW permits are also welcome.
Classes will be held at Millstream Preserve in Columbia
Length of program: 8 hours Cost: $150.00 Participants to supply own firearms and 300 rounds factory ammunition. Equipment list will be provided upon registration.
