During the process of taking care of the paperwork to transfer some pieces from my late father-in-law's collection, I noticed that the trigger guard on a Stevens Model 84C rifle is in really bad shape, almost to the point of "crumbling". I'd like to replace the guard. Can anyone recommend a source? Thanks.

Numrich catalogs both an original and a replacement trigger guard for that model, along with numerous other parts.

ETA: I see that the original is currently not in stock, but the replacement is available.

Thanks Dick - I'll check them out. Not sure at the present time whether or not I care if it's an original or replacement guard. I guess if I were to decide to sell it, an original would be the better choice, though.[thinking]

I have gotten Stevens parts from Roselli's gun shop somewhere in western Mass. Don't know if they are still around. Jack.

Thanks Jack - will keep them in mind as well. I briefly looked at that web site that Dick mentioned. I'll have to make sure of a match with the guard that is on my 84C before I go any further.
