To the mods:

This isn't a bitching session, and it isn't a demand...It is just a suggestion that I think would help with duped threads and helping people find what they are looking for.

When you lock a thread could you please at least say why it was locked? Also, if it is a dupe, could you please put a link to the thread that it duped so people that are interested can get to it? Just so you understand where I'm coming from I'll post some examples below.

This thread was locked with no explanation http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/threads/135907-How-cops-in-Ohio-treat-CCW-permit-holders.

This thread was locked due to it being a dupe http://www.northeastshooters.com/vb...in-Fanny-Pack?highlight=scout+leader+arrested

But, as you can see, a search for "scout leader arrested" brings up the dupe, but it doesn't bring up the thread that it duped (at least in the first 100 results that it showed...I stopped looking after 100 results) http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/search.php?searchid=3218091 Searching for "scout leader bullet" also gave me no luck.

Again...I'm not bitching, I'm just making a suggestion that I hope some of you will take into consideration when you lock a thread.

people need to name threads approprietly. hell 90% of this crap is reposts from other gun forums anyway.

[laugh]

i've posted dupes a few times because some people go out of the way to name the reposted stuff from xyz forum to appear like they found something on their own.

[laugh] i think if people acrually posted the thread title as similar to the article with a few quotes of thier own, a snip and link the dupitron threads would be reduced.

but oh well. off to cruise more forums so i can repost the stuff here under a dirrent / obscure title [rofl]

I was actually waiting to see if a mod would lock this thread with no explanation. That would have been frustrating to me, but funny as hell to everyone else, and worth it in the end.
