For some unknown reason, the pictures on posts are very few and far between whereas they used to be on most every post. When I try clicking on links for photos, I get an "unable to display" message. I also posted a WTS and was unable top attach a picture. Wondering if you can assist or is this sitewide?

Another recent issue is that when i log in with user name and password on top banner, it gets rejected and another log in page opens. i enter info there and gain access.

I'm not an admin, but I've had to log in that way myself for the last several months. I think it's because of the encrypted login that was implemented (https vs http). I think the login script at the top of the page is encrypted, but the second one in the middle of the page that comes up when the top one fails is not encrypted, so it works for us.

That may also have something to do with your photo issue. On some older browsers, I don't see the photos like I do on a newer computer or like I used to, and I think that may be because they changed the encryption.

I also would be interested in verification from an actual admin about what's going on, but in the meantime I figured I'd comment in case that helps you.

I suppose you could also PM Derek (screen name "Admin") or someone else (not sure who) to ask the question, and you might get a response to your questions that way. If you do that, and the answers don't get posted in this thread, please PM me to let me know what they said!

Please make sure all your bookmarks point to HTTPS://www.northeastshooters.com

Note the S : httpS

But as I wrote above, we can't do that:

Has something changed in the last few days?

I can no longer log in at my main access computer even using the procedure I've stated. I don't believe anything changed on my end (I can still browse other gun forums that use the https protocol), so I think that NES must have changed in some way, and it's different than the other forums where I'm not negatively affected.

We use a newer form of SSL certificate that isn't supported by old browsers/operating systems. What browser/OS are you using?

And to clarify, we have recently started forcing SSL everywhere.
