Lever Action recommendations needed

A vintage Winchester 94 or a JM stamped Marlin in 30/30 is pretty much the standard for deer hunting. Three of the people I hunt with use Marlins chambered for .35 Remington. Not a fan of the .35, but they've killed their share of deer with them.

I took my first half dozen or so deer with a positively ancient Winchester 94 in .32 Winchester Special. Hard to find ammo, but I actually quite like it otherwise. Then again, this thing only had irons and none of the shots were > 100 yards.

Henry is a pretty quality product, and I understand that Remington finally smoothed out the QC trouble they'd been having with the Marlin assembly line and are turning out half-way decent lever guns now. Not sure what the new Winchesters are like.
