Just heard a level 3 alert has been declared at San Onofre on Pacific Coast with some sort of evacuation of an emergency management center on site and residents advised to monitor local communications.

Can anyone opine on what a level 3 alert is or could entail? I know there are lots of nuke experts on NES.

Is it go time? [smile]

From what I found, a level 3 alert is "The classification could me anything from a near accident to a lost radioactive device. There is also a very low probability of public exposure."

Glad it's nothing big....That's where I surf when I go out to CA.

Didn't want it to turn into "Moon over Marin" - Dead Kennedys!
