I just caught this on the news. Hope it's not a repost. It occurred Sept 13th

The reporter starts her story with "Police man and suspect both shot dead after a police chase"

I watched the video on the news and realized that the suspect had no gun.
I thought it was interesting as there was no mention of friendly fire.
I found the story here. As it turns out officer Jones was hit by friendly fire.

It's unfortunate that someone other than the idiot suspect died.
I think we all have to remember that just because you can't see through it, doesn't mean a bullet won't pass through it. Cars especially.

Additional videos
There are 4 videos on the bottom section.
1st video on the left goes up until the first shot. At 14:59 you actually hear the officer Jones say "Ughhh. This pursuit is boring"

Second from the left shows the shooting at 18:50

As more officers approach you can see them duck for cover as they hear one last shot. Supposedly that shot was accidentally fired by Jones as he tried to make it back to his cruiser.

RIP Officer Jones

It actually appears that the officers didn't notice Jones was injured until well after the suspect was in custody.
