Legal to bring gun camping in Maine?

ALWAYS check F&G laws when venturing "off road" with firearms. Each state has their own laws on possession in the woods/parks/etc. even if NOT hunting.

I am not aware of anything written in Maine that is official that say what is ok to do concerning guns. There are some lists of what you cannot do. So I cannot help you with that question.

I know:

The laws are no different for residents than they are for non-residents.
You cannot carry a gun in the woods on Sunday. You can have one, but is must be cased and not easily accessible. That is a hunting law.
The gun must be unloaded before and after legal hunting hours.
Exceptions are made for pistols and CCW.
Maine is an open carry state.

Here are some links that might help.
