Greetings, The outdoor match season at Lee Sportsmen is starting soon. We shoot IDPA and Sheet Matches. New shooters are always welcome.
Refer to the lee sportsman web site calendar to confirm all match dates.
You do not have be a member of Lee to participate. The IDPA is a pistol combat style match, you move, reload, use cover. engage targets in priority. Each stage is purposely different to force you to practice different skills.
You need a 9mm or larger and 3 mags minimum. The matches are typically $15 to participate.
There are many IDPA videos on you tube this is a good basic one. We follow the rules of IDPA for safety and scoring. Here is a good starter video.

Steel matches are typically strings of 5 targets repeated 5 times/strings. It's best if you have 5 magazines. These matches are rim and center fire pistol and 22 rifle friendly. Red dots ok..

Each match begins with a safety briefing.
