I have a Glock 34 Gen 5, 9mm and I have been told both ways. Some say that I should not shoot lead bullet some say the gen. 5 version is ok with lead. The bullets I shoot are lead, powder coated. I have fired at least 2000 out of it since I got it and it cleans up easy. Anyone heard anything official from Glock?

I believe Gen 5 have the regular rifling and are OK to shoot lead.

That said Im pretty sure lots of people have shot lead out of the Gen1-Gen4 with no issues. Probably best that you give it a good scrub once and a while if you do that.

Gen 5 is good to go. I shoot powder coat out of others but have bought lone wolf barrels for ones I like more

Glock (and pretty much every other manufacturer) will say NO because of whatever warranty they provide.

Lead (bare, powder coated, plated, etc) is typically associated with reloads, and they'll only back jacketed factory stuff.

Blast away with whatever you got.
